Join us for the official launch of #VoteforFood, our campaign calling on candidates and political parties to commit to a fairer, healthier and more resilient food system for all Victorians.
This webinar will explore the decisions the next Victorian Government must make to address food insecurity, protect the places where our food is grown and create healthier local food environments. We will also launch the Vote for Food campaign priorities and share practical ways individuals, organisations and communities can help secure meaningful commitments from candidates.
Building Sustainable Social Enterprises
In the food systems sector, many of us are reliant on the cyclical nature of grants and philanthropy funding… but what if you could make your organisation, product, or service financially sustainable? Whether you’re developing a community initiative, product, service or enterprise, creating a model that balances impact with long-term viability is key. And thinking about long-term viability can begin at any point in your journey, from the beginning steps to being well established.
This event is open to the VicHealth-funded Local Partnerships for Food First and Australian Food Network Members.
Local Government Networking Forum
The Local Government Food Systems Network brings together council staff working across wellbeing, health, environment, community development, food security and more. Our focus is on sharing our respective food system work, learning from specialists and identifying areas for collective action.
The Local Government Networking Forum is our regular time to build connections with each other, deepen our knowledge of food systems and learn about what’s working (and what’s not) in other local government projects.
