Sustain

The Australian Food Network

Sustain is a “think and do” network, specialising in designing and building sustainable and healthy food systems. We work with governments, councils, and community leaders to help map local food systems, and develop evidence-based and achievable policies and programs. We sow the seeds of change with events, policy work, practice & thought leadership, capacity building, and collective action. We give people, councils, and organisations the tools they need to help them become empowered food citizens, supporting healthy communities, people and ecosystems.

Urban Agriculture Month 2023
Growing Edible Towns, Cities, and Suburbs

Sustain: The Australian Food Network's third national Urban Agriculture Month is happening from 1st - 30th November 2023, and everyone is invited! Urban Agriculture Month is a month-long celebration of all things urban agriculture, featuring a range of exciting events happening right across Australia. From open gardens, workshops, guided tours, communal feasts and other hands-on learning experiences, we bring people together to connect, share and learn. Our third national Urban Agriculture Month will be happening in November 2023. There will be plenty of ways you can get involved: from attending events to running your own, and sharing our program on socials and in real life with your community. We'll share details about how you can join in a little later in the year. In the meantime, take a look at our map to see what happened last November.
