Sally Hughes
President, Corowa Community Garden
The Corowa Community Garden is a great place to visit. It is open to the public and entry is free. The flourishing garden is proudly tended by many community volunteers. Permaculture principles are applied in the Garden, which includes composting, rotational vegetable cropping, worm farms, wicking beds and much more. A central rotunda with seating surrounded by formally laid out raised beds creates a welcoming environment. Vegetables, herbs, fruit trees and berries feature in the garden. Mosaiced pieces appear throughout the garden. On a Tuesday and Thursday visitors are welcome to pop in for a cuppa and a chat with the volunteers.
