Katherine Utry

Katherine Utry joins the Sustain board with over 25 years’ experience across the public sector as a health professional in health service and government settings. Over the past 10 years she has held a range of senior leadership and executive roles, with a particular focus on policy and strategy.

In previous professional roles, Katherine has worked in the field of population health and prevention; working with Victorian government departments, local government, NGOs and other organisations to build capacity and coordinate efforts to improve health, social and economic outcomes at a population level.

Katherine holds a Masters Degree in Public Health, and was originally drawn to this field of study because of her interest in food systems and social justice. Joining the board of Sustain provides an ideal opportunity to bring together this knowledge, her professional experience and continued passion for strengthening food systems and how we as a society engage with food more broadly.
