Loddon Mallee PHU Council and Community Capacity Building (2024)

This project covered a series of food system policymaking workshops for four local governments and community stakeholders within the LMPHU catchment. The focus was on increasing understanding of food systems, mapping relevance to Council’s remit and how LGAs can progress food systems transformation in the context of the cost-of-living crisis and climate change. The project also included the distribution and analysis of a Community Food and Farming Survey which garnered 200 responses across the region.

Sustain Team

Sustain is a “think and do” network, specialising in designing and building sustainable and healthy food systems. We work with governments, councils, and community leaders to help map local food systems, and develop evidence-based and achievable policies and programs. We sow the seeds of change with events, policy work, practice & thought leadership, capacity building, and collective action. We give people, councils, and organisations the tools they need to help them become empowered food citizens, supporting healthy communities, people and ecosystems.
