The food system affects every Australian because we all depend on it to feed us. That’s why it’s vital that as many Australians as possible have their say about Feeding Australia: The National Food Security Strategy, which is now being developed by the federal government.
Convened by Sustain: The Australian Food Network in collaboration with researchers from Deakin University’s Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition (GLOBE) and the Institute for Health Transformation, this webinar will be a unique opportunity for stakeholders to discuss the opportunities created by the Feeding Australia strategy to develop a cohesive, systems-based approach to food security in Australia.
The first phase of the Feeding Australia development is engagement with the national food security strategy team’s discussion paper. Submissions on this paper are due by 24 September and can be made via this link.
This webinar, moderated by Dr Nick Rose of Sustain, will feature the following presenters and panellists;
- Dr Rachael Walshe I Sustain
- Dr Christina Zorbas I GLOBE
- Dr Erica Reeve I GLOBE / Farm My School
- Dr Rebecca Lindberg I GLOBE
